The goal of the college of Extended University is to attract students coming from a diverse population in terms of age, flexible schedules and future orientation.

The building is located at the fringes of the University campus along Temple Avenue, a major urban thoroughfare connecting the cities of Covina and Pomona.

​

The complex design addresses several distinct uses, most of them acting as liassons between academic and community activities. The presence of a popular café and its connection with an adjacent US Postal Service are celebrations a large community open space, designed as central courtyard, where all the academic and community uses conveyed and interact.
